Md. Hasibul Hasan is a Lecturer in the Department of Textile Engineering at International Standard University (ISU), where he is engaged in teaching, curriculum development, and applied research in the field of textile and apparel engineering. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering with a specialization in Apparel Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX), graduating with distinction. Alongside his strong academic background, he has demonstrated a sustained interest in innovation and sustainability. Mr. Hasan's academic focus lies at the intersection of apparel manufacturing, sustainable processing techniques, and textile innovation. His undergraduate thesis, which examined the environmental and functional impacts of sustainable acid wash techniques on knitted garments, highlighted the potential of eco-friendly alternatives to conventional finishing methods, underscoring his commitment to sustainable textile engineering. He is currently engaged in research on innovative materials and sustainable solutions for the apparel sector.
Prior to his academic role, he worked as a Trainee Production Merchandiser at NEXT Sourcing Services Ltd., a global buying and sourcing organization. In this position, he was responsible for coordinating raw material sourcing, overseeing product development, managing production timelines, and facilitating communication among suppliers, designers, and buyers. His exposure to commercial supply chain operations and product lifecycle management provided him with valuable industry insights, which he now integrates into his academic responsibilities. Mr. Hasan also completed his industrial internship at N.R. Knitting Mills Ltd., where he gained hands-on experience in textile manufacturing and production planning.
He is proficient in apparel simulation software and skilled in operating advanced textile testing equipment, which enables him to incorporate technological advancements into the classroom. His academic journey has been further enriched by various leadership roles, including serving as President and Vice President of student-led organizations at BUTEX.
